It was much the same as the first in the series as far as pacing and humor goes. Jace has really begun to find her niche in her new world, although there are still times that she feels overwhelmed. She says she wants to go home but I don't believe it. Maybe I'm just projecting. I absolutely don't want her to go back home. I get the feeling that she really doesn't have much to go back to. 3.75 stars for the writing. Maybe four. By the end the plot got a little too convoluted and though I really enjoyed it- the whole comic book theme was a big departure from the original tone of the series.
But 5 stars for my overall enjoyment. As I read, I kept thinking of the sookie series and how much I enjoyed the world and the characters, even when the plot went off on weird tangents. This series is similar but without the steamy scenes.
