★★★★✩ Deliciously witty book, but I loathe cliffhangers and this chapter in this delightful series has a HUGE one at the end. The only thing that saves it is that, by the time I had read this volume, the next book in the series had already been published.
Why did I not read this sooner? Everyone seemed to dislike the ending, but I absolutely loved it. I can't wait to read the next book.

My Thoughts: I'll start by saying, I Love this series! I've become completely engrossed in the world Ms Carriger has created.
While Alexia is my favorite, this is a series that has many of those quirky side characters that I love. From Ivy and her hats to Lord Akelmeda and all his dandy's. With new characters, Madame Lefoux and a whole regiment of soldiers.
