The Forest of Hands and Teeth is a beautiful, terrifying book. I completely understand why people are so enamoured with Carrie Ryan's writing! It is elegant, poetic and well, frankly, gorgeous. This book swallowed me whole and didn't let go until I'd finished the whole thing.

Sometimes I am not sure why I rate things the way I do. Quality wise this would be a 2-3 star book, but it was so well put together and entertaining that I gave it a 4. This book has a cheesy topic (zombie virus in post apocalyptic society...) but I really liked it. I liked it better than the Hunger Games, and it was a fun, fast, read that I couldn't put down. I am onto the second one already.
