This book was like Harry Potter meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer, well minus the vampire slaying. It's the wit of the characters that give me a Joss Whedon feel (which is fantabulus thing because I bow down to him for his my god).

Quick read. High school for naughty paranormals with a killer on the loose. Fun (despite the murders - how did that happen?) and has enough twists to keep you interested.

3.5 stars. This reminded me of the less well-known Touch of Frost. Though I think I liked this better. But the crushing on the unattainable hot guy thing was similar, as well as the bullying from the mean girls, sympathetic headmistress and sadistic teachers.
