Wow! I absolutely loved this book and the series. I found the plot to be very nicely balanced and the pace was just right, not too slow and not too fast. I really liked the subtle integration of the detective work and the arcane side of things as well. Very nicely written!
My only complaint would be that I felt like I didn't get to see Rhyzkahl in the picture very much, to me he was the tempting morsel that kept me going throughout the books. I think that the relationship between Kara and Rhyzkah ...more
