Dark Embers was a great intro into a hot, new dragon-shifter series. I loved it! Part of it was a bit predictable, so that kept it from being a full 5★s for me, but otherwise it was a deliciously sexy read.

Once I started this book, I had a hard time putting it down. Dylan's character really drew me, as did the entire world of the dragon clans in the Arizona/New Mexican desert that Adams created. I loved it! My only complaint is that the ending felt too rushed, but that's okay - the second book in the series is primed on my reader!
