I really liked this second book in the Paranormal Scene Investigations series. I enjoyed it even more than the first one, mainly because of the chemistry that is developing between Bonnie and Ben. I can't wait to see how it evolves in future books.

I would have given this 5 stars but it needed a little more action. There was a lot of ruminating in this one. I like that she added sections from other characters point of views. I'm not a huge fan of first person narrative. I like to spend some time in the view point of other characters. It frustrates that almost all urban fantasy is written first person. So I liked being in Ben and Adan's heads for a bit. I hope we get to spend some time from Ian's perspective in future books. But maybe that'

On the heels of Gilman's Hard Magic, Pack of Lies is the second book in the Paranormal Scene Investigations series. I was impressed with the debut and so had high expectations for this novel to be equally as entertaining.

Nice continuation of the series. Loving the connection between Venec and our heroine. Can't wait to see how it progresses.
