Okay, so when I finally got around to reading this book, I completely and absolutely fell in love with it! Okay, okay, more specifically, I fell in love with Michael and Shane. It's a great start to an amazing series!!

Well, it was better than I expected. I thought it was a little too high school with the behaviors (think extreme bullying to the point of maiming/death and no repercussions for those involved). Also, if you were a parent and your child got admitted (and I want to say with scholarships if I remember right) to MIT, Yale, etc wouldn't you insist they go? I've had this book sitting on my bookshelf for years, finally decided it was time. Too bad I let it sit for so long this was a very good bad-vampire story.
Some reviews of this book complained that Claire made lots of really dumb decisions throughout the story but I believe the same can be said of many characters in Steven King's Salem's Lot. Glass Houses in ways did remind me of parts of Salem's Lot.
