What a convoluted story! I listened to a couple of hours and could barely follow what's going on. The author tried to introduce new elements to the whole vampire mythology but without explaining what things meant so I was confused by all the Italian terminology.

Worse, the author took coincidences to incredible heights: the bad guy who attacks the heroine ends up joining the villains, while an important girl to the villains' plans is the heroine's patient!!! Prior to the start of the book there' ...more

4 1/2 stars I read Eternal Hunger during an afternoon and evening while I had the flu. For the book to take me away from my aches and pains, fever, sniffles and coughs and deep into another world for a few hours is really saying something. Alexander was a great tortured hero with a tender side, and the impossibility of their situation even made me cry at one point. Be aware that this book is part of a trilogy, and so threads are left dangling at the end. That didn't bother me, though, because Al ...more
