DO NOT JUDGE THIS BOOK BY THE COVER!

COVER=AWESOMENESS
CONTENTS=MEDIOCRE


The story wasn't too terrible. Most of it is very interesting. Most of the character on the other hand, well, they are awful! Too much crap happened in the first part of the book that was not plausible or should NEVER BE! Not even really knowing your uncle who then gifts you his oodles of money when he's spent more time with the barista down at the coffee bar. Unlikely. More like wishful thinking.

M.L.N. Hanover has come up with a new take on the paranormal creature scene. We still have vampires and werewolves along with lots of other categories of beasties, but they're separate entities, called riders by the main characters, who inhabit humans. I really enjoyed the book - enough to go buy the rest of the series, but it didn't jump to the top of my favorite series list. Of course, I tend to prefer more humor.
