My thoughts:

This book turned out to be a big disappointment for me. For one thing, Nora was a complete idiot. She was indecisive, confused, cried about every little thing & for someone who supposedly is bad a lying, she lied about almost everything. Over half of the book was dedicated to her lusting after Patch & her determination to find out who & what he was. The big reveal was that he was an angel. Read this in one night. It is a fun and quick read, you get sucked in immediately. I don't get all the Twilight comparisons. It is nothing like Twilight. Twilight, to be honest, quite sucked. This was fun. Patch (what I think is quite a cute name) is damn hot. Wish I could touch his back too..

Fitzpatrick has created a world that's quite believable. I was glad it didn't resemble Fallen too much. It starts off the same; mysterious boy at a school that seems unreachable. The process of Nora accepting that Patch isn't human, and that angels do exist was a bit rushed in my opinion. She only deals with Patch being unhuman, not with that the Bible was right and her whole world is upside down. Shouldn't she doubt what else is real if angels are real? I think this is one of the great gaps in the story.

The Nephelim lore was interesting. I haven't read a lot of books that focus on angels, so it felt quite new for me. It is refreshing to read something different than the old vamp/were stuff. I would like to read more about angels, they are quite interesting (and hot!).

You can just feel the chemistry between our couple. Patch cares for Nora from the beginning of the story, and Nora slowly grows into it. The development wasn't rushed and felt natural. She acts very like her age, which I think is quite an achievement. You see her slowly admitting her feelings for Patch, even though he is dangerous and she knows nothing about him. She does some irresponsible things, but who doesn't at that age? I liked that even though Hush, Hush is a young-adult book they don't act like sex doesn't exist. It isn't that implicit and in-your-face, but you can tell Nora wants more from Patch than just a little kiss.

Okay, the ending might be predictable, we all knew this would be the best solution, but it was sweet. Now we can read more about our new favourite angel-human couple. Give me part two! ...more

I haven't read many YA books. I don't think I can count on one hand the number I have read, but I am starting to read more. I really enjoyed this book. I liked the story and the characters. I will be reading the next book :) And as a side note: this is one of my favorite covers of all time. It is so dramatic, love it! ...more

This one was pretty good and I will definitely continue the series. I felt that the h should have been a little bit more upset after the 3rd (?!) attempt on her life, and that the adults--as usual--were a little too convienently absent to really make sense, but the story moved along quickly and had some interesting places to go.

I was a little bit disappointed in this book but I think that was only because I loved the one I just finished so much. It is always hard on the book you follow that up with. It was an interesting story though and I enjoyed most of it. I think I will probably read the next one in the series.

Damn!!
The story started sooo good and it kept getting better and better until about 30 pages before the end.
what a terrible ending, it felt like the author ran out of inspiration or something... I was seriously hoping for a great ending which would make it an excellent book but in the end, I got disapointed.

Fast and easy read.No cliffhanger,not really a page turner but not boring either.
Couldn't really connect with the characters.The love connection between main characters didn't feel real either.Somehow not deep enough.
But i did read worst books then this one,so probably will give a chance to the next part too. ...more
