Stray really was one big meh for me. There was nothing that really stood out. Yes, I know, I haven't read about werecats before. Yet, these cats live together in a system that reminds a lot of the werewolf hierarchy like in Bitten. Main character Faythe was a little bit too ignorant for my taste. It's a nice story, I got to like Faythe and, even though sometimes I wanted to smack Marc for being an jerk, most of the time I did like him.
Just two little things that put me off:
1. I could have used a lot less whining from Faythe.. really, it was annoying.
2. I'm sick and tired of authors writing in different languages and don't even bothering on checking if what they wrote is right... it's like reading something Yoda would have said.. but worse!! ...more

I've heard a lot about this series, and not all good things, so I wasn't expecting too much. I can think of a bunch of things I wasn't crazy about, but really, the story had me interested and engaged almost from the get-go so that's enough for a solid 3 stars, maybe even 3.5

some thoughts:
- some of the violence and gore was difficult for me to read
- is there going to be more to the human bf story? I'm kinda left hanging here. So far, he was intro'd just to be cheated on, not cool

This was a really good book. It was refreshing to read about werecats. I like Faythe even though she annoyed me at times. She can be a pain in the ass and make some stupid choices but at the same time she's a strong kick-ass heroine. Marc annoyed me at the beginning. He was so possessive, stubborn and couldn't control his temper. It really annoyed me that when he would lose his temper Faythe would be blamed for it. He grew on me as the book moved along and I fell for him towards the end. I like ...more
