Where to start? So much has been written about this book, and truly, it is a thought-provoking fast-paced read. Collins has built and incredibly disturbing world, with echoes of human history that resound throughout the story. The weirdest thing just happened.

I started bla-bla'ing about the "The Hunger Games" to my fiance on our morning coffee time, and he actually listend.
He even asked questions! about Katniss, about her world, about the games.
Then, later that evening, when we got back from work, he asked me to continue the story....
And when i was done, b/c we reached the part where i stoped reading that morning, he said "well, what are you waiting for?! go on & read so you can tell me the rest of it tomorrow".

WOW.

An excellent book of survivalist tactics in a post apocalyptic setting. Lord help us all if the world ever comes to this.

I finally decided to read this book and see what all the fuss was about. Reading the book description I wondered if this was going to be a good book, because frankly it didn't appeal to me.

Well was I in for a surprise! I was sucked in immediately. I woke up at four in the morning and had to pick the book back up.

Katniss is a very strong character who will do whatever it takes to survive and at the same time isn't ruthless. I am really looking forward to reading the next book Catching Fire. I may
