I thought this was the best book of the three in the series. I definitely recommend reading it, although, I felt the ending starting from where she encounters her sister, shall we say to keep from spoiling things, seems rushed. There were so many more details and tying up of loose ends and conversations that were needed that I felt a bit cheated. What can I say that probably hasn't been said or isn't going to be said in tons of other reviews?
This one was absolutely everything I hoped for and more. In a society that sent children to fight to the death, it's only to be expected that the consequences of war be just as horrendous. Of course this one was more than Team Gale vs. Team Peeta, and I wouldn't want it to be any other way. Katniss is such a relatable heroine and it's amazing and an honor to watch her fight her battles, both interna ...more

Really more 3.5 stars.
I did like it okay, but looking back, if I had stopped after book 1 I would have been happier. This one was a lot of politics and war, but not even exciting action-y war, cause Katniss is sidelined and doesnt do anything much until near the end, and then it all rushes past in a blur with many characters dying right and left with barely a mention in passing. As for the love triangle, what a fizzer. After reading three books I wanted more for Katniss than just to settle with ...more
