While I applaud the author for bringing her anti-war theme to a very pointed, realistic end, it was sad for me to see character I liked so much become these battered, emotionless, alive but not really living characters. Not that this series is by any means upbeat,, this is definitely the biggest bummer of the three. Very realistic ending, but not terribly satisfying for me. I just hated to see the life crushed out of these fiery people, but after all they had been through, I guess there was no o ...more

Wow. This was an amazing book. You are put through a whirlwind of emotions and situations.

I'm not sure how I feel about the ending. It's a good ending, but I think I would have preferred her to end up with the other guy. But then again it does feel right that she ends up with him. I'm so conflicted!

Amazing book and amazing series. Sad that it's over, but at the same time I'm glad because now Katniss can live a peaceful life. A life she has definitely earned.

There are no words for how I feel about this book (I will be refering to the whole series as if it was one book). It is about love, war, rebellion, sacrifice and betrayal. The characters and story will stay with me for a long time. Maybe because I am a mother, but the book and characters brought so many emotions. I don't think I will be able to see the movie. If done right it will be heartbreaking. ...more

Just finished early this morning and wow! I was worried reading book 3 that I wouldn't like it after loving the first two. Without being spoilery: This is one of the best book trilogies I have ever read. I highly recommend this trilogy. My husband got curious after all the talking I was doing, is reading the first book now, and is enjoying it. ...more

I was a little disappointed by this book. It wasn't until almost half way through the book when it finally started to getting interesting. Once it did, it was really good until the end. I thought the way she ended the book was horrible! The way she ended the dispute between who Katniss would choose, Gale or Peeta, was so quick and boring. I wanted more! ...more
