Well, hmm what to say. Okay here goes.
1) I felt Bree was a stronger character than Bella ever was
2) It was nice to see the battle of the Cullens/werewolves versus Victoria/newbies told from the losing side's viewpoint
3) I felt this novella was a less preachy than the series
What did confuse me, and perhaps others have pointed this out but in twilight, Bella discribes Edward's hair as "bronze-colored". Yet in this novella, Bree describes Edward as the "redheaded mind reader".

I had mixed feelings before I started this book. When I think about the Twilight series, I immediately associate everything with Edward and Bella. The whole series is from her point of view (I refuse to mention Midnight Sun since who knows when that will ever be finished, if at all). So to read a book from another POV from someone who wasn't in the whole series, specifically a vampire that had such a small scene in the series, seemed odd to me but definitely intriguing.

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner:An Eclipse Novella is a new novella in the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. I stumbled upon it at Barnes and Noble and had to get it (of course.) It was a fast read, and although interesting I wouldn't say it was as fun a read as any of the Twilight series books. I did like the thought process that Meyer goes through to explore her characters, and wanted more of some of them (Diego, Fred.) Bree Tanner, a newborn vampire who is just briefly introduced in Ec

I liked this book. It was short but it was a good story. I've read and enjoyed all the Twilight books but honestly didn't remember Bree. It was fun to get a new view point of what was happening.

3.5/5. There were a few interesting bits in this book that make it worth reading if you read the Twilight series. The most interesting parts to me:
1) The ferry scene
2) The battle scenes from an alternate perspective.
3) The sharing of information between Bree and Edward near the end.
