I have to say, I wasn't totally into this entry in the series. I'm not sure what it was. Maybe it was Grier and Isaac. It was still worth the read; it just took me longer to finish than anything else by Ms. Ward. I didn't feel the need to forget my whole life just to finish it. And after seeming to tone down her ridiculous name dropping and strange lingo in the first book, Ms. Ward was back with a vengeance. It rivaled any of the BDB books for writing. As with all of J.R. Ward's writing, I couldn't put this book down. I know this Fallen Angel series is not as popular as the BDB, but she still has managed to craft gripping, sexy storylines with characters you become invested in. The UST in this book is off the chart, and when Isaac and Grier finally got it together, well... there was one line in particular which may or may not have made me groan out loud. In a good way.

I started this a while ago and only got a few chapters in - I was struggling with Ward's he-man talk and had to read something else. When I came back to it I liked it much better. I liked the story; though it is definitely formulaic the characters were interesting and I'm liking the overall development with Jim. I'll definitely try #3 when it comes out.
