This one got off to a confusing start doing and exceptional amount of jumping around. It caused me to backtrack just to figure out what was going on. Anyone who hasn't read it yet - take note of the shirt that is discarded during the fight at the beginning of the book. It is talked about later.

In this second installment of The Fallen Angels series Isaac is the soul who Jim thinks he needs to save. Isaac is on the run and making a living as cage fighter who ends up in jail and has an instant attract to his lawyer Grier. I liked how in this book we got to see the strong bond between Jim, Eddie, and Adrian and what they do to protect and take care of each other. I am looking forward to the next book and how Jim will fight Devina.

I am a big fan of the BDB series so I always expect a lot of a JR ward book. This is not one of my fav books and even if i dont compare it to to BDB, I still feel there is just something more this book needs. Maybe the series is still getting filled out and a few more books down the line I may enjoy it more... I donno.. but as of now.. this was not great just okay enough to like and read.
