Initially I wasn't sure I'd enjoy this book. It seemed to have some of the annoyances of BDB ("shitkickers", etc) and none of the ?? va-va-voom. But, as the story progressed, I got more and more attached to the lives of the characters and couldn't stop trying to guess how things were going to play out. True to JR Ward's BDB style, the two main male characters bonded tight and helped each other through the situations that arose.

So here is my take on Covet. It reminded me of a hybrid cross between Shining and Pretty Woman with some angels (I must say like none I've ever heard of before - probably because they're fallen) thrown into the mix. Remember the scene where Jack Nicholson sees the woman he's with not looking so pleasant? *shudder* Okay, so maybe not really too much like the Shining, but the one scene in the book so reminded me of that movie.
