Covet is an Urban Fantasy mixed with a strong romantic story line. I really enjoyed this. In some ways I enjoyed it more that the BDB. It wasn't as over the top; the dialogue was a bit more normal and for rich as Vin was, Ms. Ward didn't brand name drop all that much. I don't know that I connected to Vin and Marie-Terese as much as some of the Brothers, but they were a sweet couple together.

I wasn't sure I was going to like this book until I was about 60% of the way though it, but in the end I was satisfied with it and want to read the second book. I picked it up because I'm a fan of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and there are some tie ins. I enjoyed seeing a little more of Trez and knowing that a man Marie-Therese runs into is Phury and things like that, though I'm hoping for a little more overlap in the 2nd book of the series.

After reading the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, I wasn't sure whether her Fallen Angels series could possibly be as good, but I found myself absolutely riveted by this book.
I loved the subtle nods to the Brotherhood throughout, and Vin reminded me a lot of Rhev, which is certainly not a bad thing. Obviously this is going to be a series of seven books - one for each deadly sin - and I have already bought book 2.
