The first book in the October Daye series, Rosemary and Rue was not what I was expecting. Although I had heard so much about it, I had somehow not realized/remembered that the main characters are fae.
The book started on a note I liked and understood and then it took a turn totally unexpected. A 14 year time jump was not what I was expecting, especially not the way it happened.
