I used to have a rule that I would never read books in a series back to back. So if I read book #1 of a particular series, then I would read a couple other books not in that series in between before going back to said series and reading book #2. Update second read. I share my lackluster opinion from the first one. I feel like the end of this book put me off reading the next ones and I only re-started them to get re-acquainted with Lyall and Biffy, who I always really liked and I want to read Romancing The Werewolf with some idea of background. But I'm starting to think an online synopsis might do the trick without having to go through the books.
