Apparently this series is all about the women being bullied into submission by the "hero" of the story. The first one is apparently a little "rapey" in that the sex scene starts off forced and then the woman eventually submits. But in this book the hero actually rapes someone and a popular reviewer/friend says the heroine doesn't have any ill effects or even a problem with it really. The rapey-ness is a common enough theme with were-whatevers and I have a problem enough with that, but out and ou ...more

Exactly what I was looking for! Fluffy, with paranormals and blood and mates and all that stuff. Add to that a complex world and interesting characters and you got a very fun read!

Looking forward to reading many of the other characters' stories - especially Garreth and Lucia's! (Long wait for that one... their story is in the 9th book! O.o)

Is it so hard to have a heroine who doesn't have to forgo all say in her own love life?

That issue aside, the mythology in this series is really intere

There are definitely some problematic elements here, but I’m willing to overlook it for the overall story. My interest has been caught and I’m willing to see where this story will go.

Not as great as I was expecting. Main characters both a bit annoying. Will probably try another as the world seemed okay.
