I really liked this book. The whole Djinn thing was new to me and quite a nice change from vampires and werewolves. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

I am a hardcore, unapologetic Rachel Caine fan. Her Morganville series? Pretty much the most addictive YA series ever written. In short, Rachel Caine = Awesome.
Ill Wind proved to me that Caine's awesomeness does indeed translate over into adult fiction. It has plenty of action, fast cars, biblical storms and some brilliantly 3D characters. Although not as addictive as her Morganville series, I have high hopes for the rest of the Weather Warden books.

What a cool series!!
Joanne is a weather warden, she can control Air and Water. She's on the run after a run in with fellow Warden Bad Bob. She is looking for Lewis, who she believes is the only one who can save her.
I have no idea how to classify this book. Romance? Has a little, Paranormal? Not really, but there is magic, sort of. Urban Fantasy? not really. This is a very intriguing world that Rachel Caine has created, and I find myself fascinated. I am learning alot about weather that's for su ...more

It was a great book. I did enjoy it. The type of light reading I was after at the time. I think it would've been a 4 star except these female heroines that kick ass constantly and have all these cool quirks and sense of style -they're getting repetative. It's not a bad thing, just a personal annoyance I reckon but definitely worth the read and I'll most likely give the rest of the series a go
