4.5 stars. I have no idea why I waited so long to start this series, because this book was awesome! Merit is a fantastic heroine, the love triangle isn't annoying, and the secondary characters are really fun. The story ended a little abruptly, but I know there are about a dozen more books for me to catch up on so there's no need for me to wait. Fantastic.

I have had Chicagoland Vampires recommended to me too many times, I just didn't feel the love to pick it up till now. When I saw Missie was hosting a Some Girls Bite read-along with Tina, Rummanah and Jenny I though I have the book, I haven't had a chance to do a read-along before so lets do this!
