This installment of the Soul Screamers series is heartbreaking, and was personally resonant. I feel Kaylee's pain in ways I wish I couldn't. I can't talk much about the plot without major spoilers. I will say that if you haven't read it, you might want to skip reading the blurb on the back, because it gives too much away.

I almost skipped this series, because I expected it to be like every other paranormal young adult series out there. I should have known better. The series manages to feel fresh

My Soul to Keep started off with Kaylee trying, again, to save the (her) world. I was disappointed with the first half of the book, but then things began to pick up. I think it ended well and left me interested enough to want to read book 4. So, I give it 3½★.

My Soul to Keep, the third book in the Soul Screamers series, was an improvement over book two. However, I was still frustrated with both the main character and the general plot until the halfway point.

Vincent showed shades of Richelle Mead by liberally bashing me over the head with clue-by-fours. By the second chapter, I’d already developed strong suspicions about who might be involved in the Netherworld drug scheme (yes, all of those suspicions came true). Constantly foreshadowing plot

4/5 out of 5!! This was probably my favorite of the series so far. But that is all I am going to say so I don't spoil it for anyone. ...more
