This made me angry—and sad. So much so that I felt an ache in my heart. I was still shaking a few minutes later as my adrenaline sapped away. I guess that’s what creative writing is supposed to do: make you feel.
I’m not sure about the reason for Darwin getting involved in the investigation. It seems to me that what she was trying to prove was way worse than what people thought. I don’t see why it would work.

Darwin has to solve a possible murder in a week or her friend Sylvia can't get married.
What I enjoyed:
* I liked the interaction of Darwin and her sisters
* The puppy, Petey, was adorable
What could have been better:
* There is a love triangle
* While this case was solved, a big mystery of their past was started and since there haven't been any books since 2013, I'm guessing it will never be resolved
* I have a hard time believing that someone would let their mother's thoughts that the wedding is curs ...more
