This blurb and cover are hard to resist. A cyborg Cinderella, ostracised by society. A noble prince prepared to make a terrible sacrifice to save his people. And a deadly plague set upon the earth by a devious alien queen. The futuristic concepts and the engaging, twisty plot are well done. It's like a scifi ( cyberpunk ) young adult story. It's easy to read and the pace is quite fast. I may have liked this more if it had been written without the Cinderella references but there's no doubt that ...more

I can totally see this being made into a movie. There have been a ton of Cinderella movies and stories lately. This is the most bizarre Cinderella story I've ever read. Cinderella is a cyborg? Moon people? And even a too-small cyborg foot? It all adds up to weird. But I do plan to read the next one! ...more

I've heard so many wonderful things and read so many glowing reviews about this book and the series as a whole, that to be honest, I didn't go into it with high expectations. Too often I've been disappointed by hyped up books in the past. But seeing as I love a good fairytale, retelling and anything else to do with fairytales, I thought I'd give this cyborg-cinderella story a try. And I'm glad I did!
