This book is a spin-off of the Everlasting series. Perhaps I should have started there because I felt a bit lost. Curt gets dragged into a road trip with his best friend Hugh, Hugh's grandfather-in law and a couple more guys. The guys take a road trip down to Louisiana to a place even weirder than Everlasting. I fun, quick read.

What I enjoyed:
* The guys bickering and hugging during the road trip and poor Curt being cursed
* Loved Missi and her family. I think Hegdewitch Cove will be even more interesting than Everlasting.
