There aren't many books that entirely change your opinion of characters that you have known, or thought you have known for quite a few books.
It's hardtop put into words what I think/feel about this one. It's devastating what happened to everyone, I cried and I bit the head off anyone who tried to speak to me while I was reading. Really disappointed by this one. 800 pages? Seriously?
The story is incredibly slow. There is too much story to tell so maybe some of it should have been left to another book, or just left out. It's as if she felt Styxx had to out-tragic Acheron.
Usually I love her novels and can't put them down. I consume them like chocolate and wish there was more. This one, meh. Glad I got it from the library and didn't actually buy it. ...more
