Interesting premise - I like the idea of a supernatural town when the rest of the world is normal. The mysteries weren't too hard to figure out once you got the know the characters, but I enjoyed the ride all the way to the end. Since this book seems more like PNR than UF, I wouldn't have minded a bit more interaction between the couple - although I see there is a sequel out starring them.

This was my first Barbara Bretton books. I loved it! I want to move to Sugar Maple Vermont but sadly I am just a plain old human. Sigh.
One suggestion: do not drink anything while reading this book unless you put some kind plastic covering over it to protect the pages. Because you will be spewing your drink over your book when you laugh.
I can't wait to read the next one. ...more

I found the constant flipping between character pov's a little jarring, and the beginning somewhat slow to take off, but I enjoyed (for the most part), the ending. Didn't warm to the other characters (beside the main two) except for Gunnar and (ironically) Midge - didn't like Chloe's friend's (Lynette and Janice) at all.

Very warm fuzzy story; cozy mystery, magic, knitting and romance, what's not to like. This is my first Barbara Bretton book, I'm looking forward to reading her other books.
