This was an intriguing new take on vampire books. In this world Vampires recently came out and got rights and that broke up the Sentry that sent slayers out to kill vampires and put the slayers, seers and watchers out of work.
Harper is a seer and she can't stop seeing or helping people. She meets Riddick who is a former slayer and wants him to help her save a kid (and her PI business).
