Wild Country, similar to Lake Silence, takes place within the world of Bishop’s Others, but in a new town. This time we’re spending our time in Bennett, which is near Prairie Gold. Most of the characters are new to us, but those of us who began the series with Written in Red will recognize a few, some if only by name.

Really 4.5 Stars

As there is some major cross over with Etched in Bone & many characters are mentioned from previous books, I highly recommend reading The Others series in order ~ this is #7.

We've moved to Bennett, which is a hub town with a railway & major road system, it was also wiped out by Namid's teeth & claws following the Humans First & Last movement attempted take over of Thaisia in Marked in Flesh.

Bennett is a small town where the terra indigene wipes out all humans. Tolya Sanguinati, the mayor and Virgil Wolfgard, the Sheriff, are trying to find enough humans and Others to keep the town going.
