Wild Country, similar to Lake Silence, takes place within the world of Bishop’s Others, but in a new town. This time we’re spending our time in Bennett, which is near Prairie Gold. Most of the characters are new to us, but those of us who began the series with Written in Red will recognize a few, some if only by name.

A book away from an episode of hoarders
As usual, once I leave the world of The Others, I feel bereft.

I always need more.

More time in this world.

Never enough time in this world, which is saying something because each of these novels could work as a doorstop in any windstorm short of a tornado.

An enjoyable enough instalment if you already like the series though a bit unnecessary - seemed to mostly play out exactly as expected as if we could have written this ourselves.
