I like sexy books in audio and that has been my main reason for listening to the Phoenix Pack series. I’ve pre-ordered all the audios and I usually start listening the day they come out. So imagine my dissapointment when it took half the book to get to the sexy parts! If the author had had some plot in mind, I wouldn’t have minded but half the book was spent on them waiting for something to happen. Carnal Secrets was just slow and boring.

Shaya’s true mate refused to claim her. She d

Carnal Secrets tells Shaya & Nick's story. They're both unique; Shaya is a half-shifter (human father) and Nick's wolf surfaced when he was very young. There are other factors, however, that keep Nick from immediately claiming Shaya when he realizes she's his true mate. After many tears, arguments, pleas and (finally) open discussions, the two eventually become a mated pair.

I'm happy for the pair because they've both suffered enough and deserve the happiness they ultimately found with each othe

Others have detailed the Nick & Shay story. Nick, the I don't want to be Alpha, who doesn't like being touched or talked at. Shay the insecure, submissive wolf who always acted dominant (never saw any submissiveness really).

Let me just say that I really, really liked the ending. Some books the end is half a page or if you're lucky a whole page. This book gave us pages!!

We have closure, we have love, we have a happy sparkly new pack & house!

We also had a lot of involvement of the Phoenix Pack in

I won this book in a Goodreads First Reads giveaway and I'm so excited to receive my copy so I can start reading it!

I am so happy that I got the chance to finally read Shaya and Nick's story. I really liked Shaya in the other books and I knew their story was going to be handled differently from the others. However, I thought there was going to be more reluctance from Nick, I didn't realize that it would happen so quickly. But now that I know Nick it makes sense that he wouldn't give up the chanc

Shaya and Nick's story, in which we find out why he hadn't claimed her and a human extremist group appears and stuff happens.

While I usually enjoy a good heartbreak story before the reconciliation and happy ending, this one somehow fell short. Nick does his best to make up for his mistakes, Shaya, who is a submissive but not really, has him running around because she has abandonment issues and can't trust him, he keeps trying, assuring her that he won't leave her, she plays hard to get, gives in

Nick is a pack Alpha and when he meets his mate Shaya he doesn't immediately claim like, instead he avoids her and refrains from publicly acknowledging her. Of course he has his reasons, some apparent and some we haven't uncovered as yet. Shaya has enough and leaves the Phoenix Pack in order to hopefully move on without Nick being around and constantly reminding her of what she can't have.

From the little glimpses we got of Nick in the previous two books I didn't expect to like Nick, or even enj

Probably my least fav of the series - I didn't connect as much to Shaya and Nick. But I enjoyed some of the secondary characters like Derren and Roni and look forward to their stories. ...more
