5 stars - Wow! Amazing world building, deft character development, intriguing plot, just the right amount of love, angst and action to leave me on the edge of my seat throughout the novel and a kick ass cliffhanger that shamelessly requires all readers to need to read the next installment.
Sarah J Maas doesn’t it once again! We see Feyre in the aftermath of what happened Under the Mountain and it’s not the happily ever after that she was expecting. Part of her broke and she isn’t certain that she can be repaired from the damage that Amarantha inflected. We learn more about Rhysand, the High Lord of the Nigh Court, and my how things change! Things never seem to go smoothly for Feyre and the ending left me reeling in shock and distraught that the next book wasn’t readily available!

I loved this book. I loved Rhysand, I loved the secondary characters, and I liked Feyre. I couldn't stand Tam though. I was a little reluctant to read this book, because although I wasn't a huge Tam fan in the first book, I love Beauty and the Beast retellings, so I had forgiven him a lot (and I loved that Feyre was saving herself and him). So I was a little wary upon learning that Feyre changes love interests, as I hate love triangles. But this was NOT a love triangle.
