How could you be attracted to someone who made you so pissed off that you’d considered burning their balls with a lighter?
The synopsis sounds so effin't amazing, as well as the reviews and I just had to give it a go. HERE BE SEXIST VAMPIRES was quite the book and I did like it, but me being me I did have my issues with it. But, basically we have Sam Parker who get recruited to be in the Grand High Master Vampire’s private army. And we have this sexist Commander Vampire, Jared Micheals, who h ...more

Not bad for a self published work. I enjoyed the storyline and the premise of a three breed vampire species, with a sort of cast system and it definitely hooked me in for the follow on novels. It's the first in a series of novels that continues with The Bite That Binds.
The story follows Svente (least powerful vampire breed) Sam's fight to gain acceptance in the male dominated legion of the Grand High Master Vamp. Not only is Sam a member of the weakest vampire breed, who incidentally have never ...more

How have I not heard of this series yet?
I've seen a lot about Wright's Phoenix Pack books and read the first in it about a year and a half ago. I enjoyed it at the time and was interested in the next book, but somehow never got around to reading anything else by this author.
Until now. Holy moly, I loved it. Sam already ranks right up there with Cat in my heroines list. She knows exactly who she is. She's confident, outspoken, and doesn't feel the need to apologize for it. She's not the stronges ...more

loved it. It's about Sam, a Svente vampire being offered a job with the Grand High Master Antonio's legion. She goes for the tryouts and even though she should have gotten one of the spots the guy in charge of choosing decides against her because she's a female. Jared Michaels is the Pagori vampire in charge of choosing the new recruits and the one to choose against her. Antonio then offers her a job working with Jared as his co-leader. A lot of sexual banter between them, jealousy on his part,

Well I liked it but I didn't love it.. Which is surprising bc I debating reading it due to the horrible title and cover.. I gave it a shot bc I LOVED Feral Sins!!!!
The storyline was interesting kinda like Xmen Vampires but the author made some really poor word choices.. Such as 'giggled', I had to mentally replace it with laughed every time bc I just can't see a hunky vamp giggling like a damn school girl all the time. It also had a lot of grammatical errors but it wasn't too bad to read.

I enjoyed this book. I didn't give it 5 stars because I think it could've used a little more plot. It could've been more about the storyline of the vampire attacking and trying to take over and a little less about the romance.
