“Lady of the Lake,” by Ed Beard Jr.★★★★½ (This is a review of the audiobook.) Sophie Eastlake does the narration again for this series. I’m getting so that I don’t much mind her. Good infection for the horrific parts, as well as the tongue-in-cheek...and good pacing.

I love this author, but was just not feeling this one. I enjoyed the heroine, she had some grit without being stupid, and the hero was properly tortured. But the story and the setting just seemed unbelievable to me -- I'm just not buying that they wouldn't have gotten caught -- and I was expecting a little more bang at the end.
