I'm so glad I waited to read this book until after #13 was out. The cliffhanger is major!
As always a lot is happening. Reyes has broken out of the God Glass, but its not Reyes its Rey'azikeen, Archangel Michael is threatening to kill Rey'azikeen with the angel army if Charley doesn't kill him first. The asylum is destroyed by Rey'azikeen in an effort to find the "ashes or the embers" & Rocket & Blue are homeless.

I loved every second of this book. As usual Charley had me laughing and constantly rooting for her to win, win, win, no matter the cost. Reyes was still sexy not matter the name.
The story had me on the edge of my seat from the very beginning, until the final act that almost had me in tears.

This book wasn't quite as funny as her other ones, she did have some funny moments (pico and de gallo) haha, but with this long series wrapping up I can understand why. The ending though. That KILLED me. 😭😭
