This has been a consistently decent series so far and this continues with this one. The Spellbook Club is in midst of meeting when a q young woman bangs on the door. They let her in and she collapses, but not before asking for Katie's help finding a missing gris-gris. Katie later learns the girl is Dawn Taite, Franklin's niece. Franklin was the detective that specialized in the paranormal and told Katie she was a "lightwitch."
This is a bit darker then the rest with the subject of voodoo. Cookie ...more

The Spell book Club is having a meeting in the Honeybee Bakery when a young woman bangs on the glass looking for Katie. As she collapses, she begs Katie to find the "gris-gris". Katie learns that the woman is the niece of her friend Frank.in Taite and the mystery begins.

A girl comes to Katie for help and then falls into a coma. That leads her into checking out the local voodoo queens for clues which leads her to a mentor. We learn more about Cookie and her past.

Good mystery and I really like the characters. My only concern is while the love triangle seems broken, it still rears its ugly head every now and then. (view spoiler) ...more
