In order to win the bid to renovate a historic home, Mel has to first spend the night. The home is rumored to be haunted and the new owners want it to be a haunted B&B. I LOVE the OTHER series this writer writes, so i thought I would give this a try. Unfortunately, I wasn't too thrilled. The mystery was all over the place. The main character is extremely unpleasant, and talked about herself constantly. Her constant desire to "move to Paris and eat pastries while writing some great novel" or whatever is just so stupid, and not at all as relatable as she seems to think. Another fun read by Juliet Blackwell!
Normally when I come across a book that has a ton of information (info not necessarily relate to the 'topic'), it will either entertain me with knowledge of something I didn't know before, or I will be bored senseless with useless garble that seems to go nowhere. Fortunately, these books entertain me. Funny thing is, I can't say I exactly want to learn a lot about the construction trade, but the way Blackwell writes makes it interesting.
