I am still in love with Charley Davidson. I don't think I laugh as hard as I do when reading about any other character. She has everything I admire in a heroine; spunk, attitude(are they the same), she is totally kick-ass. Every single book in this series keeps me in stitches and wondering what the hell is Charley going to get into next.
Another great thing about this series is that you can't help but to love all of the secondary characters, and lets face it, all other characters besides Charley ...more

This is a difficult book to review because everybody like it so much. The plot is pretty tied into the previous books and it would be difficult to comment much without going into spoiler territory.
The main character Charley has many qualities but one that should be used more sparingly is her deluge of wise-ass comments.
Both mysteries were interesting for Charley to investigate simultaneously. I miss Angel and Rocket since they came into play only a few times.

HA!... I sat down with this book in my hands and couldn't put it down, when I took a break I was already halfway through the story.
It was a roller coaster of emotions, I can't even pick a favorite moment... well, maybe something with Reyes on it, he is HOT! and Charlie is such an awesome character, I don't even mind sharing him with her.
Loved the ending! (the very, very last part... the little bit before was too gruesome for me, especially directed at Charlie... maybe if I liked her less), can't ...more

Very, very enjoyable.
Everyone else has done the synopsis thing, so I'll just say that I totally didn't guess the guardian thing, and its not often I'm sideswiped.
But what did totally throw me was Charley's dad and his major guilt trip. It is pretty unusual to have such a minor character have such an impact on a series, so good on you Ms Jones for a new twist in UF land.
And of course, Reyes, hotness personified. Where do I get one?

I don't rate very many books 5 starts. But this one deserved every single star. Darynda is an incredibly entertaining writer. She weaves the perfect amount of mystery and romance. I especially have fallen in love with Charleys smart-ass comments. She is hilarious and kicks ass. Can't wait to see what Darynda has in store for us next!!
