OMG I am in love with this series, it is so fun and enjoyable. Charley Davidson is what most call a Grim Reaper , she is the light - the one that the dead can leave messages to pass on and to cross to the over side - think Jennifer Love Hewitt's Ghost Whisperer. I would give this 5 stars but some of the wise-cracking gets a little corny. They are funny books although I wouldn't recommend them to anyone looking for a cozy-type paranormal. I'm kind of worried that it's going to turn into an endless series of "who will she choose: Ryes or Swopes" (or maybe Donavan or Luther if those characters stick around). The story is starting to become formulaic and disjointed. Too much time is sent jumping from case to case without a thread tying them together. Then very little time is spent exploring Charley's powers as a Grim Reaper. I'll read the next one, but like Charley, I too, have ADD and can see my interesting waning fast.

4.5*s LOL funny and tear-jerking at the same time. Page-turning action and danger. Charley is badly shaken by those she loves and the series takes a turn.
Love love love this series. Another great addition. Only bad note is that I have to wait a year to get the next one! :)

LOVED IT!!!!! This has quickly become my favorite series ever. I also gotta say as much as I LOVE Reyes I like the addition of the new bikers. I can't wait to see more of Donavan and the addition of Artemus was genius.
