At the end of Last Dragon Standing, a War is coming. Annwyl the bloody is gearing up and heading out. As are all the troops and dragons. Izzy was promoted to Annwyl’s Squire, and Blue is off to the Army in the Northlands with Ragnar.

The Dragon Who Loved Me, starts FIVE YEARS later. {O.M.G freaking 5 years!!} Sorry, had to get that out there.

Annwyl and Fearghus have been gone from Garbhan Isle and their children AND each other for five years. Five years! Appa

Vigholf the Abhorrent | Rhona the Fearless

I want to start by saying that the 3 star rating is not an exact reflection of my enjoyment of the story, it's in part to my confusion. I guess I waited too long after book 4, so I was lost on what was going on and who a few characters were.

I had to go to the website to see who was who when certain names would come up.

Dear Ms. Laurenston (A.K.A. Ms. Aiken),

Thank you for this book. I see you're growing beyond the boundaries of paranormal romance and straying into urban fantasy and horror (See, I added this to my horror shelf). I think this might be my favorite book of this series, simply because I really like both the hero and the heroine (the heroines in this series tend to be on the bitchy side, and Rhona was tough, but in general, not bitchy). It is laugh out loud funny. I thought Vigholf was pretty adorable with his crush and poor Rhona was just so clueless. I like that she was not mean or resistant to falling for him once he finally spelled out his feelings for her. Some interesting new characters were added (the ...more

ThIs was much better than the last book. There were quite a few funny moments and quotes I found myself tweeting. I loved both Vigholf (soon as i figured out who he was. Lol) and Rhona. There was lots of cameos of the characters from previous books. The "mad queen" is still the best though. I was just a little disappointed that this was not Ebhear and Lizzie's book. And the way things were left between them, it will definitely be interesting. But their book is not next. I'm still looking forward ...more
