Enjoyed this SOOO much more than Black Powder War. But then, I read these books for Lawrence, with his stuffy Britishness and Temeraire with his "I don't understand why everyone doesn't think like me" amusingness. The battles are something I have to tolerate, to get the parts I enjoy.

Thus, that this one had less battles, that equaled more enjoyment.
