I liked this book far more than the previous installment. Maybe it was having Verity back as a narrator, but I am sure, mostly it was just being rid of all the 'Australian' bits.
I enjoyed the Aeslin mice far more too. I think Verity notices and includes them a lot more than Alex does - something he too touched upon - but he seemed to think its coz he's a god while his sisters are priestesses, and so, far more easy to approach - for the mice. I kept picturing Nigel, Mary & Cat when the judges/host were described. Other than that, it was another fun entry in this series. I love all the different cryptids and seeing Grandma Alice was great too. As always I love the mice and I'm glad (view spoiler)
