The third book in the Incryptid series is narrated by Alex Price, Verity's older, geekier brother. The geeky part does not mean that he doesn't have his own personal arsenal, or capable of extreme kick-assery, it just means that he rocks the clueless professor looks while he does that.

This series is a little more fun and lighthearted than the Toby Daye series (which I also enjoy but it tends to be a little more somber, and with higher stakes). I love all the creatures in these books. It took me a little while to warm up to Alex as the narrator. Verity is a little more action oriented. I was happy the transition to Alex as MC went smoothly and it was great to see "grandma" and "grandpa"
What I enjoyed:
* I liked Alex. He is much more analytical than his sister, but the focus on reptilian cryptids was interesting
