Decided to give this series another go in novella form. I had lost interest awhile ago. Wasted time, I remember why I decided I could care less. I'm not crazy about the Breed/Breedmate universe. In short, the guys (the Breeds) have all the "fun" and the women (Breedmates) exist to make the guys lives easier and to have babies.

I was so looking forward to Lazaro’s book. Since meeting him a few books back, he seemed like an interesting character. Like Lucan, Lazaro is a Gen 1 Breed male who has live for a millennia. Unfortunately, in this book he came off as kind of a jerk; not the male we met earlier in the series who loved and mourned his family deeply.
