More inner dialogue than actual conversation, but this one was a bit funnier than the others in the series I have read.
I did make the mistake (only in my opinion) of skipping a book in the series, but this one didn't giveaway anything that happened in the previous book that I didn't already suspect will happen. That means that I will still need to go back to read that one to get Gene's story.
