This features Jessie (the computer geek from book 1) and Mason (Chase's brother). This evil mastermind from book 1 wasn't killed and is trying to restart the experimentations. They also still want Miranda and she remains a target.
There is snark, suggestive dialogue, hilarity, a little drugging and kidnapping, a little bit of mystery/suspense, and sex (lots of it). A bit light on the plot, but I didn't care. This is want I needed to take my mind off the looming election (and the possible end of ...more

LOVED the first of this series, The Bunny and the Bear. The heroine was quirky, upbeat and hilarious. The hero played the straight man great, just stubborn and “bear-ish” enough to make it a really fun, hot, enjoyable read.
I was so hoping the magic would continue into the second book, but I just wasn’t feeling it..
Sure, it was still well-written and had its share of funny moments, I just wasn’t that excited by the personalities of either of the main characters, and I really wanted to.

Another fun Langlais novel, this one featuring Mason, the playbear younger brother from the first book. He's an undercover agent who's blown his cover on the last FUC mission, so he's assigned to headquarters and meets Jessie, a swan princess with a racist daddy swan king and an aversion to men. Langlais employs her typical humor, fun antics, and see-saw, school yard dialogue (did not...did too...did not...make me...) that's a lot of fun to read.

I am really enjoying this series, it was a little shorter than the first and not quite as funny but still a thoroughly enjoyable read.
I love the level of humour in these, I often catch myself laughing out loud :)

I just reread this forgetting I had read it. This is never a good sign.
In my original review, I wrote---I really did not like the hero. Honestly, this time he didn't really bother me. He is a man ho and not the bear I would like him to be be but what really killed the book for me was the puns and sexual banter. It was not sexy nor really funny and worse it kept me from getting into the story or the romance. Every time I was ready to sink in and enjoy, the crude jokes poked me. And I am not all ...more

Very cute, funny book! I liked that it was light...similar to the one prior.
